The Secure Systems Department is seeking a **Principal Systems Engineer** (SE) to help grow a new and exciting secure system product line. The qualified candidate will have extensive systems engineering experience throughout the Engineering V Model with a deep knowledge of secure systems.
**This position requires onsite presence in McKinney, TX. An active Secret security clearance is required prior to the first day** .
The Principal Systems Engineer (SE) will technically lead a team of 3-5 systems engineers across multiple programs and IRAD to ensure robust secure solutions are verified and validated in a fast-paced agile environment. The candidate will work collaboratively with the product line Chief Engineer, Technical Director, Architect, Integrated Product Team Leads, and other discipline Team Leads to ensure all efforts achieve their objectives. The candidate will drive a scaled agile systems process working with product owners and functional leads to reduce time to market to meet our customers’ ever-changing requirements. This individual will have a proven history of pushing teams toward new and innovative processes, tools, and a quality focused culture. The SE is a technical leader whose roles and responsibilities include derivation of requirements, architecture design, test planning and execution, implementing agile processes and tools, leading bids and proposal work, and working across the engineering functions to achieve program objectives.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Design, develop, integrate, and test highly complex secure processing solutions across all products in the portfolio.
+ SME for requirements, design, verification, and validation activities in the Systems Engineering V Model
+ Plan and execute environmental testing objectives
+ Manage lab equipment and expansion across labs with multiple security classification levels
+ Work with the Material Program Manager (MPM) to manage vendors and suppliers to ensure necessary material is procured in a timely manner to meet program objectives
+ Support the training and growth of the SE team on the product line and ensure best practices are adhered to
+ Collaborate with the Chief Engineer, Architect, Technical Director and Business Development on new business pursuits.
+ Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team with team members and customers
+ Work within the boundaries of government and company guidelines to ensure compliant and cutting-edge solutions for both current and future capabilities.
+ Work in multi-disciplinary teams with other team members and customers
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
+ Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date .
+ U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
+ Advanced experience with system security concepts and designs
+ Experience in developing architecture and design of complex systems.
+ Advanced experience implementing system security into FPGAs and SOCs
+ Strong experience with secure system verification and validation activities adhere to security Technical Implementation Guide (TIG)
+ Must be experienced in managing vendors and subcontracts through design, implementation, and test activities
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ Strong experience supporting development projects from concept through implementation and integration.
+ Hands-on systems integration experience
+ DevSecOps and MBSE experience
+ Experience with integrating software and firmware on FPGAs and SOCs
+ Previous bid and proposal work
+ Experience with ASIC design
+ Familiar with TCP and UDP Ethernet protocols
+ Familiar with ASIC design
+ Familiar with 3U SOSA/MOSA standards

**Employee Referral Eligible**
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
