Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as the primary quality contact for PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) supplier quality and technology matters Monitor supplier quality performance on a regular basis and drive continuous improvement Collaborate with the Procurement team to develop and qualify new suppliers Lead failure analysis (FA) and root cause/corrective action activities for supplier quality issues Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Reliability (DFR) reviews with suppliers and R&D teams Perform supplier audits and manage supplier performance and quality metrics Oversee supplier-driven changes and ensure compliance with quality standards Provide technical support to supplier to resolve process or quality issuesEducation & Experience
Minimum 9 yr. experience in PCBA engineering and supplier quality management Master in Engineering of Electronics or equivalent degree. Extensive experience in process development, improvement and monitoring at supplier siteSkills
Strong knowledge of industry standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, and JEDEC; familiar with PCBA-related reliability testing. Proficient in quality tools and methodologies including 8D, MSA, SPC, DOE, and FMEA; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; skilled in delivering clear presentations and comprehensive reports. Well-versed in quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and IATF 16949. Experienced with data analysis tools such as Minitab and JMP. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage complex tasks effectively. Strong team player in cross-functional, cross-cultural, and global team environments. Flexible and able to support variable work hours to coordinate with international teams and suppliers. Expert in quality analysis, root cause problem-solving, and project management. Knowledge of materials analytical tools for Failure Analysis to identify root causes and assess corrective actions. Well-versed on the latest advances in PCB, attachment, component, and process technologies to assess reliability risks throughout product lifecycle.Working Conditions
Standard office and manufacturing environment with regular visits to supplier facilities as needed. May involve occasional travel, both domestic and international, to support supplier development and audits. Flexible working hours required to coordinate with global teams and suppliers across different time zones. Must be able to manage workload independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Work onsite or hybrid.Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or during supplier site visits. Capable of walking through manufacturing facilities, including navigating stairs and uneven surfaces. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required (e.g., samples, equipment, or documents). Visual acuity to inspect PCBA components and review technical documentation. Ability to travel as needed, including long-distance flights and on-site supplier assessments.Safety Requirements
