Principal Statistician (US - Raleigh)

We are looking for a Principal Statistician to join us in our Biometrics & Data Sciences team, based in our Brussels (Belgium), Monheim (Germany), Slough (UK) or Atlanta/Raleigh (US) offices

 

About the role

You will be a significant contributor to at least one compound indication (or early development compound) for Statistics. Will support as a strong voice for biometrics (statistics) department at UCB indication team, supporting the program including development strategy as well as setting the direction for quantitative, analytic, innovation and reporting. This is a global role, can be in any stage of development, and can be for one or many indications or compounds.

What you’ll do

Can provide direction of the biometrics (statistics) team at the indication (or compound) level, or a biometrics (statistics) team in a specific area (e.g., safety, launch, pre-clinical)Influences the translation of strategy to tactical planning, operations, and qualityExpected to work closely with the PLS to support in providing guidance in the overall strategy to the Development and Regulatory leads.Can be accountable for all deliverables from the biometrics (statistics) team to the larger project teamContributes to the continuous learning and upskilling culture for a modern Biometrics (Statistics) organizationSupports the transformation of the statistics operating model

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

D. (preferred) Biostatistics or Statistics, or equivalentRobust knowledge in at least one phase and elementary knowledge of other phases of drug developmentUnderstands how the functional expertise and contributions fit into the bigger pictureInfluencer and collaborator in a development team environmentActs with a measured sense of urgency and able to lead through ambiguityExperience in communicating complex quantitative ideas clearly with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel, in local and international environments
