Our team is looking for a System Engineer to support the U.S. Navy's EA-18G Growler Block I and Growler Block II Programs by supporting software integration testing and systems engineering of the EA-18G’s Airborne Electronic Attack Subsystems. The ideal System Engineer will have a system engineering background to include experience with Electronic Attack and experience working with software requirements (including developing and executing test plans to verify software requirements). We are looking for a highly motivated candidate that enjoys leading teams, learning complex systems, and solving problems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex electronic warfare systems alongside a multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for an individual that is passionate, driven, a self-starter, and goal oriented.

All tasking will be performed at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu and our Northrop Grumman Camarillo, CA office.
 

What you’ll get to do:Support software coding and development by performing software integration, regression, and verification testing for an EW systemDevelop complex test procedures to verify subsystem level requirementsAnalyze system designs and participate in subsystem requirements developmentIdentify software problems, support follow-on investigations, and provide technical solutionsWork as part of an Agile teamCollaborate with our customer, internal NGC sites, and other technical disciplinesParticipate and contribute to peer reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical inter-change meetings

This position will be full-time and on-site at our Pt. Magu Naval Air Warfare Center location and/or our Northrop Grumman Camarillo, CA. office

This position can be filled at the Principal or Sr. Principal Systems level based on requirements below. 
 

Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Test Engineer:

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with 5+ years of relevant industry experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of experience with relevant industry experience.Embedded software test development experienceExperience in Airborne Electronic AttackExperience with requirements management databases (e.g., DOORS) Experience in developing software test plans and directing testing activitiesFamiliarity with Atlassian software development and collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence)Must be a U.S. citizen.Ability to work onsite full-timeActive U.S. Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

This position is contingent upon clearance.

Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
