Job Description:
The selected candidate’s task encompasses the following: develops, tests, and integrates Operating Systems configurations with COTS and GOTS components. The Operating Systems will serve as tactical Operating Systems baselines for weapon systems. The selected candidate will be performing these duties on a later identified program in Huntsville, Alabama.
Basic Qualifications:
For a level 3 : 5 Years with bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) , 2 years Master’s or additional years experience in lieu of a degreeFor a level 4: 8 years with bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) , 6 years Master’s or additional years experience in lieu of a degreeActive Secret Security ClearanceActive 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e. CompTIA Security +)Experience with Linux features and functionalities - basic familiarity and ability to interact with the Linux operating system at a practical level (RHEL 8, 9, 10)Experience with Git for managing automation codeVirtual computing environment experience (VMWare, KVM, OpenShift) Knowledge of scripting – YAML, Bash, PowerShell, PythonExperience with Ansible playbook execution and administrationUnderstanding of Agile methodologiesPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with using Red Hat OpenShiftFamiliarity with Linux kernel developmentExperience developing automation with AnsibleKnowledgeable with FPGA systemsKnowledgeable with TPMRed Hat Kickstart experienceUnderstanding of basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANsWritten communication – technical documentation, technical emails and status reportingWINDOWS (Active Directory) experienceExperience working with RHEL in an Active Directory domain environmentSalary Range: $115,800.00 - $173,800.00Salary Range 2: $144,200.00 - $216,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
