Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Specialist, Materials Planning & SIOP to be responsible for interacting with two or more functional areas or teams, which may include production control, receiving, shipping, warehousing/supermarkets, line feeding/materials handling and/or inventory control. You may also be responsible for coordinating specific SIOP processes and reporting within the site. This position works with a site focused team of experienced professionals or team leaders and reports to the next level site/campus Materials leader.
This role owns the execution of short-term plans and Materials related projects within their assigned functional area. They are expected to respond to a variety of issues, contribute to solutions, coordinate with Materials or Operations leaders and drive improvements within their functional area(s).
This is a collaborative role with interactions and coordination with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, IT, and Product Development. This role focuses on contributing to achieve on time delivery, inventory targets, materials management strategies and materials initiatives. This position will support Materials governance principles and participate in continuous improvement activities using CORE and operating systems.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Work Onsite at our Riverside, CA Facility
+ 1st Shift Hours: 6:30am – 3pm Monday – Friday
+ Set plans and execute on short to medium term strategies and projects (up to 2 years) for materials management functional areas.
+ Ensure compliance with company policies, guidelines, and audit requirements relevant to materials management at the site.
+ Assist in operations related to Logistics, Import/Export, and either indirect procurement or tactical direct procurement teams.
+ Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for functional area performance and manage corrective and preventive actions in alignment with QCPC processes.
+ Communicate site performance metrics related to inventory, delivery and cost.
+ Support and provide input on processes to optimize SIOP, capacity planning, production and inventory planning that is aligned with applicable policies and established goals for the area.
+ Integrate the flow of materials and information to optimize operational objectives through training and strategic projects.
+ Engage and collaborate on Materials projects and initiatives across the site.
+ Foster collaboration within discipline to execute product flow strategies.
+ Participate in Materials leader forums and GMTs focused on SIOP maturity, training and career roadmap.
+ Support on SAP training for team members as needed.
+ Contribute to SAP planning parameter compliance and process adherence within scope of work.
+ Develop and make presentations to management and others on the team.
+ Engage in key projects, including product transfers, new product introductions, business systems applications, supplier integration, logistics or other related projects within scope of work.
+ Preforms other duties as assigned
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant shop floor scheduling **or** production planning experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field
+ U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in usage of ERP/MRP Systems.
+ 6 Months experience in materials planning, SIOP or related fields (i.e., shipping/warehousing, or inventory management.)
+ 6 months experience with Continuous improvement Tools (Lean, Six Sigma, or CORE)

**Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
