Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Principal Software Systems Engineer to join our growing team!

 

You will get to support development of an exciting new space and ground capability for the United States Space Force. Our software development team is building a Ground System for a new constellation for Space Force.  Engineering activities are accomplished using Agile methodology and will include software systems engineering, development, unit test, integration and test.  You will work with the Software Team and Product Owner to deliver MTC O&I Software to our customer.  

What You'll Be Doing:

Support the development and integration of the MEO Track Custody ground environment. Support MTC ground segment systems engineering to include code development, integration and test in development, integration, and production environments.Provide program software support to include, but not limited to developing program documentation and software in support of production demonstration, integration, test, and verification.     Up to 10% travel may be required

 

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline and 10+ years of experienceActive Secret clearanceExperience in Agile Software Methodologies and Software DevelopmentExperience with Atlassian Tool Suite or comparable agile management systemExperience in Space Ground Systems Development and MaintenanceExperience in Space to Ground and Ground to Ground ICD development and maintenanceDemonstrated ability to lead integration Technical Interchange MeetingsDemonstrated ability to develop CONOPS and use-casesDemonstrated experience in the development of High-Level Designs

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Active TS/SCIAbility to communicate effectively with program leadership, customer representatives, and software team.     Ability to work independently and problem solve with general guidanceWorking knowledge of Overhead Persistent InfraRed systems and architecture

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $108,700.00 - $190,200.00
