Bayer Radiology is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to participate in software design and development activities for Bayer Computed Tomography (CT) contrast injector systems.
Working from the Rydalmere facility you will design and develop software components and architectures as required by the product portfolio plan. Our CT injector products are developed in Rydalmere and are sold in global markets, giving the opportunity to make a difference to patients’ lives and the work of health care professionals.

You will design and implement software to support Radiology product developmentBuild, test, verify and document new software componentsMentor junior engineers in advanced software engineering design and development practices ensuring they meet Bayer and medical device development standardsCollaborate with local and international cross functional team members (software development, systems and electromechanical engineering teams) in Rydalmere and PittsburghProvide technical expertise and complex troubleshooting support skillsDeploy good software engineering practices throughout the full developmental life cycleWrite clean, high quality reliable and maintainable codePartake in peer code review sessions

A Bachelor of Engineering in computing or equivalent subject field and significant software development experienceAdvanced object-oriented design skills and advanced coding skills in C, C++ and PythonExceptional troubleshooting skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environmentA post-graduate degree or significant hands-on work experience in Software development in a medical or other regulated environment will be highly regarded
