Provide deep technical understanding of software, software system design, and systems engineeringOwn the software architecture and baseline for command and control mission systems and autonomous systemsProvide definition of software practices and procedures Design system of systems from clean sheet design and solve complex problems on existing systemsContribute to software engineering proposals where you will perform task definition and estimating work to accomplish those tasksWork across the organization to align software needs and ensure a consistent productQualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's of Science degree Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experience3 or more years of relevant software architecture and system design experienceAdvanced capabilities using Computer Aided Engineering toolsDemonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience working in multi-disciplinary teamsKnowledge of software engineering principals, practices, and processes including software life cycle, DevOps, configuration management, testing, hardware integration, cybersecurity Communication skills to effectively technical concepts and software architectures to technical and non-technical audiencesKnowledge of Government Reference Architectures (GRA)Experience architecting and developing command and control systems Experience using a Modular Open System Approach (MOSA) to develop modular and open system architecturesExperience developing software using open system standards such as Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE)Experience in the aerospace and defense industryDesire to drive system architecture making an impact on a software engineering teamQualifications We Prefer:
