As a Principal Engineer in the Media & Multicloud team, you will have ownership of key technical components and initiatives. You will drive the engineering decisions and lead the development of cloud services and tools that accelerate innovation in the media and Multicloud domains. This includes partnering with service teams to solve hard technical problems, building internal tooling to enhance developer productivity and reduce operational toil, and rapidly prototyping new capabilities through proof-of-concepts and MVPs. This is a unique opportunity to shape strategic capabilities that enable OCI to better serve media workloads and Multicloud use cases. You will collaborate with engineering leaders to shape the path to success, leveraging your experience as a senior team member to influence and drive progress.

We are looking for someone with deep experience building and operating cloud services, coupled with a passion for hands-on problem solving and pragmatic innovation. Experience working across teams, developing tooling, and driving forward early-stage product and platform ideas is highly desired. This individual contributor role requires strong technical acumen and exceptional communication skills. You will mentor engineers, lead complex technical projects, and champion best practices across teams.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of software development experience. Proven experience in large-scale software development, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems. Demonstrated success in building internal tools and platforms that enhance team productivity. Experience leading technical projects, driving solutions across team boundaries, and mentoring engineers.
