Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) (https://www.northropgrumman.com/what-we-do/mission-solutions/microelectronics) is seeking **Principal or Senior Principal Systems Engineer (Modeling & Simulation)** .
**What** **You’ll** **Get to Do:**
You will fill a Program/System Level role within Directorate of Engineering of a large Program consisting of multiple IPTs/Segments. You’ll use your MOD/SIM experience to analyze and drive technical performance of a large-scale, very complex system that incorporates mature and emerging technologies.
You will:
+ Perform system performance analysis and system level modeling, based on the lower-level component and segment models produced by other teams.
+ Model the interactions (electrical, mechanical, thermal, digital, etc.)among the lower-level modelled components and segments to analyze performance
+ Analyze simulations in support of performance and effectiveness, report on performance metrics related to that analysis
+ Use common MODSIM tools like Matlab and COMSOL to incorporate or interface with lower-level models and simulations created in domain or discipline-specific tools, such as NX, Keysight ADS, Cadence Virtuoso, and others
+ Collaboratedcross-functionally to support the development of Segment architecture and CONOPS, perform trade studies and analysis, and support verification planning
+ As needed, support the preparation of design and engineering materials during System Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, System Verification Review, and Test Readiness Review

**This requisition may be filled as a** **Principal Systems Engineer (Modeling & Simulation)** **or** **Senior Principal Systems Engineer (Modeling & Simulation).**
**T** **his position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining a US Government security clearance per customers' requirements.**
**Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer (Modeling & Simulation):**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with at least 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master's Degree; OR 1 years with a PhD
+ Strong understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals, principles, and processes
+ Ability to apply MODSIMexpertise through technology processes, methodologies, standards, or frameworks
+ Expertise with various types of Modeling & Simulation tools, such as Python, MATLAB, COMSOL, FlexSim
+ Demonstrated experience with MBSE to include defining analysis with parametric diagrams and capturing different system configurations and performance values
+ This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
+ Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph per customer requirements prior to start

**Preferred Qualifications for Principal / Senior Principal Systems Engineer (Modeling & Simulation):**
+ Current Active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph
+ Certificate or advanced degree in Systems Engineering
+ Certificate in SysML and/or DODAF
+ Demonstrated ability to create flexible, robust models of complex systems that can be adapted and iterated upon to satisfy and provide traceability of evolving requirements.
+ Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally.
+ DOORS experience including automation (DXL) and generating customer-delivered DODAF views
+ Experience with generating reports in Cameo utilizing VTL (Velocity Template Language)
+ Experience with related OMG schema such as the UML Testing Profile
+ Experience with modeling cyber-physical (hardware & software) solutions
+ Familiarity with Project & Task Management tools: Jira or Confluence
+ Familiarity with some subset of specialty engineering tools, such as: MATLAB or COMSOL (MODSIM); Visual Studio, Python (SW Engineering); Elasticsearch, Grafana, Tableau (Data and visualization); or Cadence Virtuoso, Keysight ADWS, ANSYS HFSS (Hardware Design)
Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $131,100.00 - $206,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
