Job Description
The candidate will apply their immunosafety and immunogenicity expertise to provide scientific and technical leadership in a cross-functional team assessing and implementing an immunogenicity platform with in silico and in vitro strategies, while playing a crucial role as an immunosafety lead advising teams in the development of preclinical molecules for multiple projects. The candidate is also expected to mentor junior immunosafety team members, foster productive collaborations, and demonstrate effective communication within scientific teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead integration and application of in silico and in vitro immunogenicity platforms to AbbVie’s pipeline.Supervise junior scientists providing scientific and technical leadership in the design and execution of in vitro immunogenicity and immunosafety assessments to support the de-risking of novel therapeutic candidates.Encourage ideas, drive continuous improvements, and support initiatives to enhance immunogenicity and immunosafety risk assessments of novel therapeutics.Represent the In Vitro Immunosafety team in cross-functional project team meetings championing the design and coordination of in vitro immunogenicity and immunosafety studies.Author publication, presentations, and/or regulatory documents.Qualifications
Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Cellular Immunology, or related field with 6+ years of related experience OR Master Degree in Biological Sciences, Cellular Immunology, or related field with 12+ years of related experience, OR Bachelor Degree in Biological Sciences, Cellular Immunology, or related field with 14+ years of related experience. Extensive experience with in silico immunogenicity prediction evaluations and in vitro immunogenicity assay development and implementation.Deep understanding of innate and adaptive cellular immunology with strong hands-on experience in cell-based functional assays and immune cell phenotyping.Extensive experience with multicolor flow cytometry panel design, BD LSRFortessa instrument operation, BD FACSDive and FlowJo software, and flow cytometry data analysis.Proven track record of cross-functional collaborations and project management yielding productive outcomes.Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.Results-oriented work ethic and a positive "can-do" attitude with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivated desire to achieve common business goals.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
