This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs.  This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

THE POSITION

As the Principal Data Scientist for Advanced Materials,\nyou will play a pivotal role in shaping our product development and innovation\nstrategies through data-driven decision-making. You will leverage advanced\nanalytical techniques, machine learning, and data science methodologies to\nderive insights and drive advancements in our materials science initiatives. You\nneed to collaborate and support team members like data engineers, ML Ops\nengineers and Data scientists to execute the projects and AI transformation for\nMaterial research and help establish the AI roadmap for Advanced Materials. This\nposition requires a combination of strong technical skills, scientific\nknowledge in materials science, and effective communication to collaborate with\ncross-functional teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead\n the development of sophisticated data models to analyze and predict\n material behavior and performance.Utilize\n machine learning and statistical techniques to derive insights from\n complex datasets related to advanced materials.Collaborate\n with materials scientists and engineers to identify key research questions\n and formulate data-driven approaches to solve them.Work\n closely with R&D and engineering teams to support materials\n development, characterization, and performance evaluation.Stay\n updated with the latest advancements in materials science and data science\n to ensure that the company is at the forefront of innovation.Mentor\n team members and support their professional development by providing\n guidance on best practices and project methodologies.Lead\n interdisciplinary teams to execute projects efficiently and effectively,\n ensuring alignment with business objectives.Prepare\n and present reports and visualizations to convey complex findings to\n stakeholders at all levels, including executive management.Translate\n technical concepts into actionable recommendations for business strategy\n and product development.Collaborate\n with external partners, research institutions, and customers to expand the\n knowledge base and technology capabilities.

Salary Range: $172,000K - $215,000K

YOU MUST HAVEPh.D. or Master’s degree in data science, Materials Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data science or a related analytical role, with a focus on advanced materials or a closely related domain.Proven track record of successful project leadership and data-driven decision-making.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and model development.Experience with machine learning frameworks and data visualization toolsStrong understanding of statistical methods, data mining, and predictive modeling.

WE VALUE
