Mission and Goals 

We are looking for a Principal QA Engineer to elevate the quality, performance, and reliability of our Web Browser products on Windows and Mac. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical expert who thrives on solving complex testing challenges, building intelligent automation systems, and driving innovation through AI-powered tools. You will work across teams to ensure our browser delivers a secure, seamless, and high-performance experience to millions of users. 

Objectives 

Architect and implement advanced automated testing frameworks and tools to ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-coverage testing across platforms. 

Apply AI techniques to intelligently enhance test coverage, detect anomalies, and streamline QA workflows. 

Develop custom utilities and scripts to support exploratory, regression, performance, and cross-platform testing. 

Collaborate early with developers, product managers, and designers to embed testability and quality into the design and development process. 

Lead innovation in QA practices, introducing modern technologies and methodologies to boost efficiency, reliability, and speed. 

Mentor QA engineers in automation, tooling, and AI integration, fostering a technically strong and forward-thinking team. 

Continuously analyze test results and system behavior, identifying patterns and root causes to proactively prevent regressions. 

Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and planning sessions, offering deep technical insight from a quality perspective. 

Initiate and lead cross-team quality improvements, identifying high-impact opportunities for automation, tooling, and process optimization. 

Skills required 

8+ years of experience in software QA, with a strong focus on test automation and tooling. 

Expert-level proficiency in Python or another OOP language, with hands-on experience in automation frameworks (e.g. Python unittest, Selenium, Playwright) 

Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to enhance testing efficiency and productivity 

Hands-on experience with performance testing tools and methodologies (e.g., load testing, stress testing) 

Deep understanding of testing desktop applications and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS syntax, etc.). 

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., TeamCity, Jenkins) and Git-based workflows. 

Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and SDLC. 

Experience building and maintaining test automation at scale. 

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for technical innovation. 

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a distributed, international team. 

Experience mentoring QA engineers and leading technical initiatives.
