Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for either a Level 3 Principal Proposal Analyst or a Level 4 Senior Principal Proposal Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals! This position will be on site in Redondo Beach, CA.
Analyst will support efforts associated with proposal development, planning and scheduling during the supplier acquisition process. Will perform cost estimating/pricing related duties and analysis in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Will coordinate with functional departments to facilitate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements and research and analyze historical data and develop cost models to support proposal efforts. Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings and in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
Essential Functions:
Perform price and cost analysis on the various elements of supplier cost proposalsAnalyze data such as direct labor hours, past performance, costs of previous procurements, and/or comparison to similar items/scopeParticipate in fact-finding sessions via telecom or at suppliers siteSubmit written supplier cost analysis reports in support of Customer proposal and engineering change effortsPrepare Procurement Review Board (PRB) briefings showing supplier proposed vs. negotiation objective positions by major element of cost for supplier negotiationsRespond to requests for information in support of internal and external customers/auditorsResearch and analyze historical data and develop cost models to support proposal effortsParticipate in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representativesProvide cost analysis in support of program objectivesConsolidate Bill of Material requirements in support of price/cost analysisAnalyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical dataThe requisition may be filled at either a Level 3 or a Level 4 Proposal Analyst depending upon candidate qualifications and experience.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3 Principal Proposal Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 5 years of proposal or material estimating experience OR a Master's degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 3 years of proposal or material estimating experienceAbility to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing and estimating concepts and principlesProficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and WordYour ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.Basic Qualifications for a Level 4 Senior Principal Proposal Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 8 years of proposal or material estimating experience OR a Master's degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 6 years of proposal or material estimating experienceAbility to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing and estimating concepts and principlesProficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and WordYour ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.Preferred qualifications:

Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00Salary Range 2: $0.00 - $0.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
