This role is responsible for leading and managing team members in the Manila Project Controls Team. The role will be supporting the manager and coordinating with stakeholders and team members in executing assigned projects to ensure that expectations and defined quality and performance metrics are met or exceeded. The role will ensure effective staff utilization to meet business and project needs. The role will support team members as needed by providing coaching and training, ensuring team members are engaged and motivated, and fostering a collaborative culture.
Responsibilities & Duties
Responsible for supporting the building and deploying of the Manila Project Controls Team.Manage team workload and assignments and recommend adjustments to the staffing model if necessary to most effectively utilize staff and meet the objectives of the projects, regions, and business lines.Develop strong stakeholder relationships by proactively communicating staffing activities and articulating the capabilities of the Manila Project Controls Team across various North American Regions, Business Lines, levels of company management, and cross-functional staff.Manage team performance, provide coaching and mentoring, document performance reviews, and identify career development opportunities relevant to the team.Ensure adherence to quality and performance metrics by assessing and evaluating the quality of work effort of the staff and providing advice on approach and/or corrective actions.Participate in business development, proposal efforts, and project startups as needed.Lead the dissemination of corporate expectations regarding company policy and cascade of project controls procedural and best practice information and existing and emerging project controls methods.Identify and analyze complex issues and recommend solutions or alternatives.Act as a first-level escalation point for questions and issue resolutions ensuring issues are addressed in a timely manner. Responsible for escalating the issues further as and when necessary.Provide regular performance and operational progress reports to manager and stakeholders to ensure issues are being flagged in a timely manner and ensure performance/operational gaps are addressed.Responsible for the implementation of the team’s business continuity plan.Ensure team compliance and delivery based on service level agreements, policies, and procedures as agreed with the stakeholders.Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business management, or other associated degreeAt least 12 years of relevant experience in construction project managementAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications, Requests-for Proposals and contractsMust understand construction means, methods, and sequencesPossesses working knowledge about the contracts related to procurement, engineering, construction, and project managementAttributes:
