**Who will you be working with?** Reporting to the Director, Product Management, as a key member of the Digital Mine team, the purpose of the Principal Product Manager is to manage existing and bringing new products to market to help mining customers improve safety and operations. Manager is to lead the successful execution of projects, services, and solutions across the Asia-Pacific region. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all delivery activities are aligned with our organizational objectives while addressing the unique needs and dynamics of the APAC market.

**What will your typical day look like?**
+ Define and drive the vision and strategy for a product line in alignment with portfolio vision and strategy – bring a long term, big picture view even while focusing on short term delivery.
+ Champion customer needs and market insights, identifying the problems worth solving (for the customer and Wabtec) and be able to influence and align key stakeholders around the plan.
+ Understand and respond to the overall customer journey, using deep insights to identify opportunities to improve customer touch points.
+ Own business cases for new investment, providing market data, opportunity information and go to market strategies to justify the investment, in alignment with product line strategy.
+ Identify opportunities for monetization, cross-sell and upsell across the portfolio.
+ Lead pricing and margin strategy planning for new and existing products.
+ Work closely with engineering and design team members to provide innovative solutions to customer problems, validating continually with customers along the journey.
+ Facilitate communication and reporting of business success of product initiatives, along with the ability to identify causes of failures and improvement opportunities.
+ Work with Head of Product, Digital Mine to identify and agree key measures of success that will help prioritise initiatives and actions.
+ Manage the product line lifecycle from inception, growth, maturity and end of life, including customer transition to new products and the introduction of new products to the product line.
+ Work closely with the Product Support Engineers to understand and act upon customer issues, usage feedback and supportability improvements.
**What do we want to know about you?**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or equivalent trade qualification).
+ 6-10 years of experience in Product Management, including at least 4 years in a Senior or Principal role.
+ Proven commercial leadership – not only do you deeply understand what it means to solve customer problems in ways that work for the business, you model it for the rest of the team.
+ Experience in the mining industry – as a Principal Product Manager, you’ll bring your expertise to the products you manage and support your peers.
+ Confident communicator and facilitator, with large groups or small.
+ Strong influencing skills – your track record in senior product roles is littered with collaborative success across functional boundaries.
+ Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface up to C-level.
+ Results-oriented, customer first attitude that always looks for ways to improve the customer experience.
+ Not afraid to experiment, fail and learn from the experience.
+ Willingness to break the mould and challenge norms where needed.
