Our customers love our adoption. **Role:** We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Principal Product Manager to lead the development and launch of a cutting-edge product offering that integrates Cisco infrastructure hardware and Splunk software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in both infrastructure hardware administration and software deployment lifecycle management, coupled with proven expertise in product strategy, development, and go-to-market execution. In this role, you will define the vision, roadmap, and delivery strategy for this joint offering, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring the product to market successfully. This role will be reporting to the Director of Splunk Product Management and working alongside several Cisco and Splunk Product Managers. **What you'll get to do:** + Product Strategy and Vision: + Define the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for the joint Cisco and Splunk offerings + Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to identify key opportunities and use cases. + Translate customer needs and business goals into product requirements and strategic priorities. + Cross-Functional Leadership: + Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment across all phases of the product lifecycle. + Partner with Cisco infrastructure hardware teams and Splunk software teams to design and deliver a cohesive, integrated solution. + Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, driving cross-functional collaboration. + Technical Expertise: + Leverage deep knowledge of infrastructure hardware administration (e.g., servers, networking, storage) and software deployment lifecycle management to guide product decisions. + Ensure seamless integration between Cisco hardware and Splunk software, prioritizing performance, scalability, and reliability. + Provide guidance on hardware-software interoperability and configurations to meet customer requirements. + Product Development and Delivery: + Define detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. + Work closely with engineering teams to oversee development, testing, and release cycles. + Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the on-time delivery of a high-quality product. + Go-to-Market Strategy: + Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to build a robust go-to-market plan. + Develop training materials, sales enablement tools, and customer-facing resources to drive adoption + Customer Advocacy: + Engage with customers and key partners to gather insights, validate use cases, and incorporate feedback into the product roadmap. + Serve as the product’s advocate and evangelist, representing its value proposition both internally and externally. + Monitor and analyze product performance post-launch to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. **What Makes You a Great Fit:** + Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of complex, technical products + Experience in managing full product lifecycles, from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization. + Experience working with system administrator personas, designing solutions for health monitoring, troubleshooting, and distributed environments. + Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience driving alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate technical details into business value. + A data-driven approach to prioritization and operational excellence. + Typically requires a minimum 10+ years of experience in product management with a focus on software solutions + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred. **Bonus Qualities We’d Love to See:** + Familiarity with Cisco datacenter hardware solutions and technologies + Strong understanding of infrastructure hardware (e.g., servers, networking devices, storage) and administration practices. + Hands-on experience with Splunk, including knowledge of its deployment, configuration, and use cases + In-depth experience with software configuration tools (e.g., Splunk, Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and their integrations with hardware. + Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. + Demonstrated track record of launching successful enterprise solutions in the B2B space. **Why Cisco? #WeAreCisco** + \#WeAreCisco where every individual brings their unique skills and perspectives together to pursue our purpose of powering an inclusive future for all. + Our passion is connection-we celebrate our employees' diverse set of backgrounds and focus on unlocking potential.
