As a Principal Platform Product Owner / Scrum Master, you will herald a transformative era in software engineering, one that underscores the integration of development and operations through a single, comprehensive platform. Platform engineers, with their comprehensive technical and problem-solving skills, are shaping the future of software development to efficiently deliver high-quality, secure software, by providing automated services that enable SW engineers to focus on developing mission capabilities.

The role's core responsibility will be as a Product Owner / Scrum Master for an agile platform product team. Additionally, you will help with the design and implementation of the platform. You will be in a team that is responsible for development and operational environments consisting of a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) hardware. These environments provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset.

NOTE This position will be performed onsite in the RTX Facility in Richardson TX.

What You Will Do

Support transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure to a modern platform infrastructureConvert strategy and strategic initiatives into well-developed plans and objectives over different time frames captured a backlog of features and storiesAssist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, optimizing performance and scalability across on-premises VMware computing environmentsAdminister / support current RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systemsLeverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, for Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) productsEnsure security and compliance are integrated into the platformProvide operational support for the platformAbility to oversee all stages of product creation, including design and developmentAbility to Facilitate SAFe Agile ceremonies including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Iteration Reviews, PI (Program Increment) Planning, and RetrospectivesCoach and guide Agile teams on SAFe practices and principles, promoting continuous improvement and team collaboration

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 8 years of related work experienceExperience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket etc.)Experience with Agile Development MethodologiesExperience collaborating with clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements Current TS/SCI issued security clearance is required on day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, willing to obtain a CI Poly for Privileged User access to the system

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
