Principal People Experience Partner

Responsibilities The Principal People Experience Partner, operating with zero to limited supervision, oversees personnel practices and policies. Needs to be an experienced HR expert to supervise case management responsibilities and People Experience Partners I & II. Responsibilities include process improvement, policy interpretation and administration, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and other essential duties to maximize the effectiveness of the People Experience function. This role performs advanced expert-level work in policy and program execution, exercising discretion and authority in the absence of the People Experience Team Lead and Manager of Global People Experience Additionally, the Principal People Experience Partner advises on local HR labour law, develops HR policies, collaborates with leadership as well as associates, and ensures HR efficiency. In this role you will be counted on to perform the following tasks: Advise, support managers & associates to effectively use our direct access tools like JIRA and Dayforce. Needs to be an experienced HR expert to supervise case management responsibilities and People Experience Partners I & II. Support associates & managers with their questions and provide tracking and/or reminders during key HR processes – such as performance management, engagement surveys, HR Technology, and more. Support HR team with special projects across any HR specialty. Complete timely & accurate HR data entry for position, supervisory, and salary changes, as well as ensuring system mapping is correct in Dayforce. Conduct data integrity audits to ensure our HR Technology and Payroll teams have accurate and complete information, including entity transfers. Maintain compliant physical and/or electronic personnel files. Administer the onboarding and offboarding process – including completing the termination checklist following standard operating procedures and continuous improvement methodologies. Monitor implementation of HR policies, including signoffs Ensure organizational charts are up to date for our organization. Submit HR-related invoicing from vendors for timely payment and ensure HR contracts for vendors are maintained in our contract-tracking platform. Partner with leadership to provide HR support and execution of all HR strategies. Provide employee relations support and guidance to management on employee coaching, career development, disciplinary actions, and all employee relations. Provide customer service to all employees relating to any HR inquiries such as on-boarding, off-boarding, benefits, payroll, recruiting, compensation, compliance, performance reviews, and any other HR related inquiries. Successfully complete any necessary Employee Relations investigations and provide action recommendations in compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws. Collaborate with Plant Operations and HR team to understand and improve employee engagement and employee retention and decrease any turnover challenges. Collaborate with the HR team in analyzing, creating, and implementing HR strategies, initiatives, solutions, programs, policies and procedures. Cooperate and manage WC relation and processes Utilize current and create new HR tools and metrics to analyze, identify, and resolve any HR challenges. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field from an accredited college or university; Business or a technical field or equivalent. Continuing education/training expected. Strongly preferred experience in a union environment. Previous manufacturing HR experience preferred. Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information. Ability to interact with all levels of employees and be perceived as an approachable and knowledgeable resource. Professional Human Resources title or Management / HR related Experience: 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources or relevant field required. Experience in managing Employee Relations, disciplinary processes and dismissals Experience in Project management Experience in working with French Workers Council Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and Dayforce. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Effective time prioritization. Demonstrated sense of urgency. Appreciation for delivering exceptional customer service. A solid understanding of labor laws and compliance is considered a plus. Proven experience in process improvement and change management is desirable asset.
