Raytheon is seeking a Principal Orbit Analyst (OA) Systems Engineer to perform in a high tempo, dynamic small team environment. The team is closely integrated with customers and contractors. The OA monitors, analyzes and maintain all ephemeris systems to ensure that ephemeris products are available and accurate in support of operational planning cycles. **Location:** Near Springfield, Virginia
**What You Will Do**
+ Serve as a technical subject-matter expert on orbit determination topics and capabilities and perform project management/project leadership tasks collaborating with both the customer and other engineering teams.
+ Develop processes, procedures and Concepts of Operations (CONOPs); coordinate, train, evaluate and analyze execution plans, supporting technical information, operating instructions and documents.
+ Regularly provide technical inputs, analysis, briefs, training and decision recommendations to keep customer and contractor leadership apprised of activities, deliverables, problems and opportunities.
+ Monitor and maintain vehicle orbital parameters.
+ Design complex vehicle maneuvers.
+ Provide Initialization and Finalization support to enterprise projects as well as to other programs as directed by the customer.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering or equivalent experience.
+ Program mission operations experience.
+ Experience analyzing and evaluating data and events to recommend courses of action.
+ Experience working in a dynamic environment where frequent and direct interaction and collaboration with customers and other engineering groups is frequent.
+ Experience understanding and applying orbital elements to provide technical solutions to a variety of technical problems.
+ Experience developing, tailoring and delivering technical presentations for engineering, operations, customer and contractor teams.
+ Experience communicating verbally and in writing with senior leadership customers and contractor teams on complex issues.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office Tool Suite.

**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Experience using Matlab, Satellite Tool Kit (STK), UNIX/Linux platform.
+ Experience using Perl, Python or other scripting languages.

+ Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
