**Job Description:** POSITION: Principal Member of Technical Staff JOB LOCATION **:** 3400 W. Plano Parkway Plano, TX 75075 DUTIES: Provide solutions to complex business and technical problems or issues of complex scope using advanced engineering and technical principles. Ideate new technologies, proof of concept testing, RFP’s, and network designs for broadband network. Develop networking designs to support initiatives. Represent the group internally across the company to provide functional and technical leadership and externally to submit vendor feature requests. Design and develop work in the areas of new products, technologies, systems, platform architecture, hardware, and software development engineering, technical security, and QA design and certification. Utilize L2/L3 networking and routing. Utilize IP, routing, switching, segment routing, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, VPN, eVPN, IPv4, and IPV6. Implement PON (Passive Optical Networks) including DWDM, optical test, and optical network engineering. Develop with broadband standard bodies including ITU-T, BBF, and FSAN. REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science or Information Technology and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation providing solutions to complex business and technical problems or issues of complex scope using advanced engineering and technical principles; developing networking designs to support initiatives; utilizing L2/L3 networking and routing; utilizing IP, routing, switching, segment routing, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, VPN, eVPN, IPv4, and IPV6; implementing PON (Passive Optical Networks) including DWDM, optical test, and optical network engineering; and developing with broadband standard bodies including ITU-T, BBF, and FSAN.
