Principal Insurance Broker, Transport

We are seeking a talented insurance professional to join Marsh’s Affinity segment in either Melbourne or Adelaide. Working within the Auto, Trades and Transport team, you will be a senior member of the team and be responsible for the retention, growth and profitability of a portfolio of key SME accounts. This includes managing and developing client relationships, acting as the client's trusted advisor, pursuing new business development in conjunction with the Growth team, and expanding the breadth of Marsh products and services to our clients. 

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days in the office.



We will count on you to:

Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring that a high degree of quality customer service is always provided to all clients.Manage, mentor, co-ordinate and develop staff through clear and effective communication, delegation and performance management.Apply a thorough understanding of the client's business, risk management and insurance needs to ensure that our services and programs continue to meet with their needs and expectations.Lead, plan and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies, ensuring renewal process and results meet client expectations.Actively developing additional business from existing portfolio.


What you need to have: 

Tier 1 Insurance Broking Compliance Accreditation (ANZIIF or Equivalent).5+ years’ experience in managing a portfolio of SME clients, transport experience will be highly regarded.Technical skills on key General Insurance classes including Industrial Special Risks, General Liability, Motor Fleet, Marine and Accident & Health lines.Prior experience managing a small team.Excellent working relationships with insurers and underwriting partners.
