Position:Principal Financial Reporting and Revenue SpecialistPosition Summary:As a Principal Financial Reporting and Revenue Specialist, you will play a key role in driving the company’s success by leading all aspects of revenue recognition and financial reporting. You will work cross-functionally with business, finance, and accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate financial statements, compliance with regulatory standards, and implementation of best practices.In this highly visible position, you will leverage your strong technical expertise to analyze complex revenue transactions, optimize reporting processes, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership. Primary responsibilities:
Owns the preparation of consolidated Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statements of Stockholders' Equity, and Statement of Cash Flows and footnotes in accordance with US GAAPAssist with year-end audit supportOptimizes the consolidation and reporting procedures, including reducing preparation timeEnsures reporting requirements and deadlines are metWorks cross-functionally to review client contracts to determine, support and calculate appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with GAAP, relevant accounting standards, and company revenue accounting policiesEnhances and develops reporting toolsMaintain supporting documentation and schedules for revenue-related accountsSupport large-scale company initiatives that impact revenue accounting processes and deliverablesFacilitate discussions and provide insights on revenue recognition for both standard and complex transactions including new products, initiatives, contract review, deal structuring - assessing impacts to revenue recognitionPerform revenue related month-end close processes including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations and performing analytical review and fluctuation analysis on revenue to support accurate and timely financial reportingAdhere to internal controls for revenue accounting, ensuring proper documentationLead or assist with research and preparation of revenue related technical accounting memos and position papersParticipate in periodic external audits, special projects, initiatives, and ad hoc requests related to revenue accountingHandles assigned special projects as needed including providing support on various ad-hoc projectsQualifications
Hands-on experience with revenue recognition ASC 606, including SaaS(Software-as-a-service)Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent8+ years of experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the roleSkilled at researching, concluding, and documenting conclusions around technical accounting issuesStrong computer and Microsoft Office programs skills, including ExcelKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesProficiency in accounting processes, procedures, and controlsExperience in general ledger account analysis/reconciliationAbility to work with cross-functional departments to research and resolve issuesStrong problem-solving and researching skillsDemonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and prioritize a heavy workloadStrong interpersonal, facilitation, and verbal and written communication skillsGood project management skillsPreferred
Public accounting experience and CPA certificationWorking Conditions

These rewards are based on a combination of company performance and individual achievements.
The hiring range for this position is:
