Amazon seeks a principal finance manager to join the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to change the way the finance organization at Amazon works. The successful candidate will lead company-wide finance transformation projects that change how Amazon consumes, stores, organizes, allocates, and analyzes financial data. This individual will lead the development and implementation of initiatives underlying the financial integrity of our external and internal reporting, including business and segment allocations and reporting infrastructure. Your job is to challenge the status quo – to think differently about how finance supports the business and how to grow the company. You will you work closely with business finance teams across Amazon to identify paint points in financial processes, such as in allocations and reporting, in order build recommendations and programs that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance organization. This person will need to understand business unit financials and anticipate the impact of finance transformation projects on other teams and processes.
As a principal finance manager, you are accountable for the integrity of financial reporting for Amazon and for delivering valuable insights that impact business results. You are able to effectively articulate insights to leadership and the impact to each specific business. You assess risk to financial systems and reporting.
