Join a team that’s naturally committed to the environment. **Your Opportunity** Stantec’s Mountain Region seeks an environmental planner and project manager with at least 10 years of experience with preparing environmental documentation and strong understanding of environmental laws and regulations that influence planning and project development. The primary duty of this role is to manage planning and permitting projects for a wide range of clients across diverse geographic locations and industries in Alaska. The role also includes supporting business development activities and working collaboratively with other Stantec practices areas in the region. Preference for staff being located in the State of Alaska. **Your Key Responsibilities** * Participate in the NEPA planning process and oversee all aspects of a project from the pursuit phase through project execution, including client contact, proposal preparation, client interviews, schedules, personnel allocation/planning, HSSE (as applicable), technical approach, quality assurance, budget management, invoicing, and subcontractor management. * Coordinate with clients, regulatory/resource agencies, local governments. * Help organize technical studies and resource teams with assessments and various field surveys * Lead the preparation of NEPA documentation including environmental impact statements (EISs), Environmental Assessments (EAs), Categorical Exclusions (CEs). * Serve as a local team leader reporting to the business center leadership team to support technical excellence, safety, and growth in Alaska. * In the near term, supervise a team focused on assessment and permitting and help with coordination with other environmental services areas (e.g., remediation) in Alaska.
