We are looking for a multi-faceted engineer who is interested in working in a fast-paced environment utilizing cutting-edge technology and tools to create mission critical capabilities for our customers. You are a team player who is motivated to provide the highest quality products to our warfighters. **What You'll Get to Do:** The successful candidate for this job designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. **Roles & Responsibilities:** + Develop, enhance, or troubleshoot Java or Python based microservices in Kubernetes or local container environment. + Develop or troubleshoot multi-layer helm charts. + Write or update technical documentation, test procedures, automated test using robot framework. + Develop, enhance, or troubleshoot web services using javascript, nodejs, vuejs, and vuetify. ​ **Basic Qualifications for Principal Software Engineer:** Bachelors in Science (BS) degree in science, engineering or related discipline with 5 years of experience; 3 years of relevant experience with Masters (MS) degree; 1 Year with a PhD and experience with the following technologies and tools. + ​Python, Java + javascript, nodejs, vuejs, vuetify + Git, Jira, Confluence, Maven, yarn + Docker/podman, containers + Linux + Active TS/SCI clearance + Must be able to obtain and maintain a polygraph **Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal Engineer Software:** Bachelors in Science (BS) degree in science, engineering or related discipline with 8 years of experience; 6 years of relevant experience with Masters (MS) degree; 4 years of relevant experience with PhD and experience with the following technologies and tools. + Python, Java + javascript, nodejs, vuejs, vuetify + Git, Jira, Confluence, Maven, yarn + Docker/podman, containers + Linux + Active TS/SCI clearance + Must be able to obtain and maintain a polygraph **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience with one or more of the following technologies. + Cloud deployment + Microservices + Kubernetes, flux, helm, kubectl Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
