Job overview and responsibilities

The Principal Engineer is responsible for the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support of various platforms (hardware, operating systems, software, and systems tools). Provide consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and systems programming. Implement releases, upgrades, and/or changes into the environment. This position will define the IT provisioning, implementation, and support of technology within assigned region and to act as the customers advocate while maintaining corporate policies. The Principal engineer works closely with the Field Services Sr. Manager of the region. Contributes to overall strategic vision and integrates broad range of ideas regarding systems engineering. Recognized across the region for systems engineering expertise and sought as a resource for resolution of unique or complex systems engineering problems and/or issues.

Leads efforts to make recommendations on technology acceptance, standards, and product selection in coordination with End User Engineering, Field Services SupportUtilizes expertise and leadership skills to define project objectives, develop detailed delivery plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports, provides advanced technical support for end users: LAN \"Local Area Network\" WAN \"Wide AreaNetwork\" VOIP \"Voice Over IP\"CCTV \"Closed Circuit Television\", Mobility platformsResponsible for assisting in the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support for various Critical Infrastructure hardware deployments for the region (copper backbone cabling, and fiber optic backbone)Manage day to day activities for enterprise level support for iOS and Android, Drives AV innovation and standardization across the region, performs CCTV Testing, diagnostics, and repairs of product for the regionConsult with other business units (e.g. application groups, engineering, network, etc.) to configure platforms for product installationProvides technical training to peers and teamQualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant field7 + Years of related experience  Mobility IOS/Android, Windows, LAN room and (DT) Digital technology Infrastructure experience (Copper, fiber optic)Strong verbal and written communication skills  Ability to communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences Aptitude for problem solving, looking beyond the obvious and not stopping at the first answerStrong level of poise in high pressure environmentsActive commitment to self-development Technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies   Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Master's degreeA certification from (BICSI) Building Industry Consulting Service International
The base pay range for this role is $137,275.00 to $187,000.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
