**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer - Environment to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing complex environmental engineering projects, ensuring compliance with local and international environmental regulations, and driving sustainable practices within our organization.
+ Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams in the planning, design, and implementation of large-scale environmental engineering projects
+ Conduct and oversee environmental impact assessments for proposed developments and infrastructure projects
+ Develop and implement environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives
+ Provide expert technical guidance on environmental issues to internal stakeholders and clients
+ Analyze complex environmental data and create comprehensive reports for decision-making purposes
+ Collaborate with government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
+ Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
+ Stay abreast of emerging environmental technologies and best practices, incorporating them into project designs and organizational strategies
+ Represent the company at industry conferences and forums, presenting on environmental engineering topics
**Qualifications**
+ Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related field
+ Professional Engineering (PE) license; Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) certification preferred
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a proven track record in leading complex projects
+ Extensive knowledge of environmental engineering principles, practices, and current regulations
+ Strong proficiency in environmental impact assessment methodologies and sustainability practices
+ Advanced skills in project management, including budget control and resource allocation
+ Expertise in using data analysis and modeling software for environmental applications
+ Proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and other relevant technical tools
+ In-depth understanding of climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies
+ Demonstrated experience in environmental policy development and implementation
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
+ Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
+ Proven track record in mentoring junior engineers and fostering team development
