Job Description

We are seeking a visionary Principal Engineer as part of System Validation Infra to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this pivotal role, you will lead the technical direction of our engineering efforts, drive innovation, and mentor our talented team of engineers. As a Principal Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions and monitoring infra tools and systems deployment that shape the future of our products.

Architect and design scalable, high-performance Infra software that meet business requirements and industry standardsLead the development of technical strategies and roadmaps to guide long-term engineering initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specificationsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvementConduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and best practicesEvaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance our engineering capabilitiesDrive the resolution of complex technical challenges and make critical design decisionsParticipate in the full development lifecycle, from concept to deployment till the maintenanceContribute to the establishment of engineering standards, best practices, and documentationRepresent the engineering team in high-level discussions with stakeholders and external partners

QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead engineering roleThorough understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design principlesProven track record of leading large to mid-scale, complex software projects from conception to successful deliveryStrong programming skills in language: Python Advanced, C++(Optional)Basic understanding of CI/CD practices and tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile methodologiesStrong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, and reliability in large to mid-scale systemsExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutionsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence technical decisionsGood knowledge of Flash Memory concepts, Protocol knowledge such as UFS or eMMC shall be an added advantage. Experience mentoring and developing junior engineersFamiliarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools and practicesStrong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a data-driven approach to decision-makingAbility to balance technical excellence with pragmatic solutions to meet business objectives
