We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Electronics Engineer based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering team.
What you get to do:
Researches, designs, develops, orders, tests, maintains, and identifies improvements / corrective actions for a variety of electronic equipment, electronic and optical systems, including Lasers, Infrared sensors, Fiber Optics, along with an assortment of test equipment and associated systems.
Troubleshoot production hardware to determine the root cause of failures and document and identify corrective actionsWork with suppliers to resolve technical hardware issuesSupport production floor operators and test technicians in a timely fashionOptimize processes to reduce cost and increase throughputMaintain processes and procedures following ISO standardsData mine, create, and analyze metrics to target cost improvementsSupport hardware integration and testCreate engineering documentation (change notices, parts lists, bills of materials, test reports, and test procedures)Supporting transition technologies from design to productionPresent complex technical concepts to non-technical personnelDemonstrated organizational skillsProficient in MS Office
Basic Qualifications for Principal Electronics Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 5 years of related work experience. 3 Years with Master's; 1 Year with PhD with related work experience.Experience in programming embedded software using: C and Object-Oriented C++Experience in Circuit analysisExperience troubleshooting systems and hardwareExperience with networking and troubleshooting test stations and computersExperience with setting up test stationsThe ability to obtain and maintain security clearanceU.S Citizen
Preferred Qualifications for Principal Electronics Engineer:
Experience with digital electronics design and/or analysisExperience using National Instruments LabWindows/CVI or LabVIEWExperience in using MATLAB and SimulinkExperience with correlation studiesExperience with optical systemsExperience with fiber optics and/or laser test equipmentExperience working in a manufacturing environment
MANUMS
Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
