Job DescriptionAt GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Principal Editor will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Principal Editor providing editorial process management for platforms within an internet-based program, enforcing content plans and policies.
HOW A PRINCIPAL EDITOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Synchronizes the efforts of content providers within the region and editors, ensuring work is done to standard and deliverables are achieved.
Monitors site performance and effectiveness and provides inputs to periodic customer reports.
Supports site marketing campaigns.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education: Master’s Degree; relevant education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
Experience: 10+ years of related experience required;
Security clearance level: Minimum DoD Secret clearance required
Skills and abilities: Requires formal education in English, journalism, political science, international affairs, strategic or security studies and experience in news editing and production, public diplomacy, or international affairs. Familiarity with cultures of the coverage region is required. English fluency required, fluency in a major regional language is preferred.
