Q2 is seeking a strategic and consultative Digital Strategist to join our dynamic team. This role is primarily responsible for leading the identification and development of fraud technology solutions tailored to customer, prospect and industry needs, utilizing company products, services and/or technology. In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to both Q2 and the financial services industry while driving innovation, solution planning, and execution aligned to the strategic business goals of our fraud technology line of business.
You will also oversee the assessment and execution of new fraud strategic business initiatives including partnerships, joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions, ensuring alignment with market demands and competitive trends. This role offers an exciting opportunity to define vision, shape tactics, and drive measurable business value for the Q2 fraud technology line of business.
Responsibilities:
Act as a key consultant and trusted advisor to customers, prospects and industry influencers such as consultants and analysts, identifying, developing and promoting fraud technology solutions that meet complex business challenges using company solutions.
A typical Day:
Drive the success of Sales and Customer Success engagements, measured by fraud technology bookings and revenue contribution, average sales price, term extension and customer satisfaction and turnaround.
Leverage deep domain expertise to formulate, test and advance differentiated messaging for Q2 fraud technology solutions, and document and share real world experience and ROI outputs for positive impact for the company.
Lead the discovery and definition of customer and prospect fraud technology needs, crafting and presenting actionable proposals, roadmaps and peer metrics comparisons.
Provide input and feedback to Q2 executives for planning, designing, validating and executing existing and future strategic business objectives related to Q2 fraud technology products, services and solutions using your subject matter expertise.
Participate in Q2 and fraud technology industry conferences, events and speaking engagements.
Oversee and mentor Sales, Customer Success, Product and Operations professionals, including supporting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure effectiveness.
Direct strategic fraud technology business initiatives, including market evaluation, due diligence, and integration planning for partnerships, alliances, M&A, and joint ventures.
Monitor fraud market trends, analyze fraud technology competitor activity, and anticipate customer needs to inform fraud strategy development.
Define and execute fraud technology vision, strategies, and execution plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing and operational teams to ensure seamless fraud technology delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 15+ years of related financial services, fraud technology or related experience; or an advanced degree with 12+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
Proven experience in external-facing technology strategy, solution consulting or product management/marketing, preferably in a leadership or client-facing role.
Excellent sales, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and clients.
Knowledge of competitive fraud technology market dynamics and the ability to leverage insights to shape strategy.
Demonstrated success in strategic planning, market evaluation, and execution of business development initiatives.
Experience working in complex, cross-functional environments and delivering results under pressure.
Strong background in managing personnel, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in fintech/finserv, enterprise software, or SaaS solutions.
Experience in M&A or partnership evaluation and execution.
