The Data Science and Analytics team within OCI’s Infrastructure Planning organization is looking for an experienced data engineer to join our team developing large-scale data models that enable rapid self-service analytics. Our broader organization is responsible for long-term strategic planning, strategy, and execution across our datacenter portfolio, hardware lifecycle, and network connectivity. Our mission is to empower decision-makers with access to reliable, high-quality data that can be used to inform both strategic decisions and tactical day-to-day operations.

We are seeking a driven, hands-on data engineer that is passionate about working with complex datasets and thrives in an iterative and collaborative environment. You will partner with teams throughout Oracle to ingest data, translate business problems into technical requirements, and design data engineering solutions to solve those problems. In this role, you will partner with data architects, software developers and analysts to deliver robust solutions to nuanced questions.

In this role you will have full access to OCI’s Autonomous Database and Oracle Analytics, plus the ability to use any open-source technologies you prefer (Python, R, etc.). Expert-level SQL development and data modeling skills are required for this role, while Excel modeling and rapid-prototyping experience is preferred.
