Job Description This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S. We are seeking an experienced Principal Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics team, focusing on third-party bodily injury (BI) casualty claims. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader who transforms complex claims data into actionable insights for our clients. You will leverage your deep understanding of casualty claims to identify trends, benchmark performance, and deliver strategic recommendations that drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Analyze third-party BI casualty claims data using advanced analytical tools and techniques to identify key trends, drivers, and outliers Compare client performance against industry benchmarks and peer groups to provide meaningful context and insights Develop and deliver clear, compelling presentations of analytical findings to clients and internal stakeholders Collaborate with client-facing teams, actuaries, and data scientists to support account strategy and improve client outcomes Leverage deep technical knowledge of casualty claims to interpret complex data patterns and their business implications Design and implement analytical frameworks to assess claims performance and identify opportunities for improvement Serve as a subject matter expert on casualty claims analytics, providing guidance to team members and clients What We Offer: Opportunity to work with industry-leading clients and shape their claims strategies Collaborative environment with exposure to diverse analytical challenges Career growth path with increasing client and strategic responsibilities Competitive compensation and benefits package Professional development and continued education opportunities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science) or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience in insurance claims, with strong focus on third-party BI casualty claims Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze complex claims data and draw actionable conclusions Strong business acumen and confidence in interacting with clients and executive-level stakeholders Proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel skills Experience with SQL or other query languages is a plus Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with claim analytics, performance benchmarking, or consulting clients on operational performance Exposure to litigation management, reserve analysis, and severity trending Experience leading analytical projects and mentoring junior analysts Insurance industry designations (e.g., CPCU, AIC, ARM) Master's degree in a relevant field Nice-to-Have Skills (Not Required) Experience with programming languages such as Sql Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Background in actuarial concepts or underwriting principles Knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting casualty claims across different jurisdictions Benefits We’re committed to supporting your ultimate well-being through our total compensation package offerings that support your health, wealth and self. The expected base pay for this position ranges from $46.57- $72.12 hourly, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
