Principal Corporate Strategy and Business Development, AWS Strategic BD
Description AWS is seeking a Strategy and Business Development leader to join our team in Japan. This is a unique opportunity to join a centralized corporate team that works with our strategic AWS customers to develop and execute high-impact partnerships by aligning interests and objectives across Amazon’s diverse portfolio of businesses and services. Key job responsibilities As a Strategy and Business development leader, your role is to identify and deliver high-impact engagements. This person will be responsible for assessing inbound requests, independently managing opportunities end-to-end (commonly the most complex challenges in never-been-done before deals) and driving these high impact partnerships through to completion. We are looking for someone who has the business acumen to structure best in class partnerships that create value for Amazon, Amazon Web Services (AWS), as well as our AWS end-customers. The ability to manage executive relationships (internal and customer-facing) will be critical as this person will negotiate partnership deals that are complex, need a centralized advocate, and/or have broader implications to AWS and other Amazon business units. This key role will be highly visible at the most senior levels of AWS and Amazon. You will need to work collaboratively with internal leadership teams to build a comprehensive strategy for AWS customers across all of Amazon. We dive deep and provide thoughtful technical and business analysis, while being able to balance the ability to quickly gain the appropriate context to enable data-driven decision-making. This role is part of the AWS Corporate Strategy and Partnerships International team and will be responsible for growing one of their kind partnerships for AWS customers in Japan and the APJ region.
