The Functional Consultant assists customers with implementing Oracle Peoplesoft campus solutions. The role requires heavy interaction with customers, implementation teams and partners. He/she will have implementation expertise spanning the full implementation cycle and be adept at implementing Oracle applications functionality.

As a functional consultant, you will be responsible for deliverables at every phase of the software implementation lifecycle such as:

Preparing for, facilitating, and gaining agreement on global designDocumenting the client’s as-is process flows and communicating best practices for the to-be optimal stateAdapting the solution for localizations or business processes specific to a client’s business unit or operating locationDocumenting and gaining agreement on the client configurationImplementing and configuring applicationsDeveloping a test strategy to validate the solution and confirming successful deploymentIdentifying risks or issues associated with assigned tasks; taking initiative to proactively alert project leadership of any risks or issues

Responsibilities

Collaborate with customers to gather and document customer business requirementsAbility to influence customers to modify current business practices, as required;Ability to manage scope and expectations with the customerWork with customers to implement and configure campus solutions to support customer business requirementsEstablish credibility and rapport with internal and external stakeholders; Ability to work within project teams and collaborate cross-departmentallyWork collaboratively within a project team both on and off customer sitesAnalyze and design solutions for business requirements which may include complex configurations and/or technical componentsAssist in delivering client facing workshopsDefine detailed functional requirementsWork with technical teams to design, develop and test automations and integrationsPerform quality reviews of deliverables developed by other team membersCollaborate and communicate with Project Managers and colleagues to facilitate on time and on budget project deliveryTrain and mentor team membersAchieve or exceed billable utilization targetsContinue to increase product knowledge and pursue relevant certifications
