As a Principal Billing Software Engineer I on this team, you will lead the design, development, and integration of Billing and Mediation Systems within a large-scale service provider platform. This role requires deep technical expertise in enterprise-scale billing systems, API integration, and event-driven architecture. The successful candidate will be both a hands-on engineer and a technical leader responsible for driving design decisions, leading implementation efforts, and mentoring a junior team of developers and engineers.
This is a high-impact role working cross-functionally with architects, DevOps, QA, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient, and observable monetization platforms.
Design integration solutions between billing platforms and mediation layersDevelop APIs and microservices for billing event processing and workflowsNormalize data from diverse sources using mediation platformsBuild components with TypeScript and Python, deploying in Kubernetes (EKS) via AWS CDKEngineer fault-tolerant workflows using AWS services like SQS, SNS, and DynamoDBDefine architecture for abstraction and mediation between systemsApply distributed system design best practices, including API versioning and error handlingLead decisions on data models, messaging protocols, and storage options

The base pay for this position generally is between $110,800.00 and $196,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
