Our Fortune 1000 clients have experienced 15% or more improvements in marketing returns, whereas fast-growing start-ups have accelerated their market positioning with a cumulative increase in marketing returns. **Summary** As a Principal at mPhasize, your analytical rigor, creative problem solving, and interpersonal skills come to life and grow. You will gather and interpret data, build econometric models, apply game theory logics, and extract behavior insights that shape clients’ marketing budgets, mix, and positioning. In doing so, you help transform marketing from a perceived cost into an engine of growth. **Responsibilities** **You will address business and marketing questions such as:** + How much should we invest in marketing to reach our updated growth goals? + Which brands, products, seasons, and customer groups are most profitable, and why? + Which marketing tactics should we increase, reduce, or change to get better returns? + Which channels and campaigns are essential for near-term profit and three-year CAGR? + What competitive, cultural, economic, and social factors are driving sales up or down? + What marketing mix and customer experience will give us an edge competitors cannot match? **To answer these questions, you will develop expertise in:** + Data precision – Capture and analyze brand, market, and marketing data with care and clarity. + Market response modeling – Apply econometric models, game theory, and machine learning to understand and forecast marketing returns. + Behavioral insight – Translate complex analyses into actions that explain and predict brand, category, and competitive performance. + Commercial application – Refine marketing budgets, mixes, media buys, and audience priorities to align with business goals. + Operational management – Deliver projects with focus and efficiency, using technology, structured thinking, and disciplined workflows. + Stakeholder engagement – Partner with clients and business partners to share findings, spark ideas, and align on future marketing strategies. **Qualifications** + 8+ years of experience related to marketing effectiveness, such as consulting, brand analysis, or market research. + Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline; Master’s degree preferred. + Highly proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint; proficient or familiar with R or Python. + Experience in, or strong interest in developing expertise in, econometrics, game theory, and time series–based predictive AI. + Strong analytical mindset with curiosity and a willingness to explore complex challenges. + Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with clients and business partners. + Team orientated, collaborates openly but can also drive projects independently. + Interest or knowledge in marketing science, brand strategy, or the advertising industry. **Additional information** Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
