The Stars Enterprise Activation Principal develops, implements, and manages oversight of the company's Medicare/Medicaid Stars Program. Directs all Stars quality improvement programs and initiatives. The Stars Improvement Principal provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience.
This role will support the Stars strategy across Humana and CenterWell and serve as a subject matter expert for Stars to activate and integrate initiatives across all assets. You will drive the vision, roadmap, and delivery for Stars improvement across Humana and CenterWell. In this role, you will identify and engage with each Humana and CenterWell function that has Stars-related initiatives to understand the business strategy, scope, and goals, building a working knowledge to inform identification and validation of potential synergies, business-specific requirements, risks, and integration paths. This role will collaborate with key Stars and segment business partners to monitor existing work, gain alignment on cross-asset integration opportunities, identify and implement new initiatives, and measure the value of the work. In addition, this role will support the inventory of existing Stars initiatives and help to identify gaps and opportunities for greater collaboration across segments.
Role Responsibilities:
Acquire deep understanding of the CenterWell business and develop collaborative partnerships across all assets
Lead multiple analytics partners to derive meaningful insights informing prioritized opportunities for Stars improvement
Develop and accelerate cross- functional strategy and effectively communicate the strategy to the key stakeholders to create alignment, inspire action and deliver tangible results
Develop and maintain a portfolio of improvement work, including new programs, optimization of existing programs, and identification of future services needed
Conduct test and learn initiatives to prove capabilities and determine effectiveness of solutions
Responsible for performance monitoring and development of reporting, with regular report out to executive leadership
Oversight of related budget, vendor relationships, and program/ project management

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
8-9 + years of quality improvement and/or developing and advancing enterprise strategy
Medicare Advantage experience
CMS Stars program experience
Previous leadership experience as a people leader, leading through influence, or leading complex projects with engagement from multiple areas of the company
Demonstrated track record of ability to tell the story, influence leaders and drive improvement activity in a matrixed organization
Ability to accelerate work and operate under tight deadlines
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as ability to navigate business intelligence tools to review data insights
