Job DescriptionOpen Location (Chile / Brazil / Peru)
Standards: Responsible for the development and improvement of Group Electrical and C&I Standards, Specifications, guidelines and procedures. Ensure compliance with Group AATS Standards, including Electrical and Integrity, Isolation of Energies etc. and act as the Fatal Risk Authority for these standards.Governance and Assurance Develop appropriate programs to ensure oversight and assurance of Electrical & C&I maintenance activities, ensuring that all electrical equipment, such as motors, switchgears, and MCCs (Motor Control Centers) and control and instrumentation equipment are properly maintained.COP: Manage the Electrical Community of practice ensuring shared learnings and best practices. Coach and mentor Electrical fraternity to improve skills, understanding of standards and improve competency.Assessments and Assurance: Execute Electrical Integrity Audits as well as assurance (Level 2) reviews of AATS standards for which you are the FRA.Reliability: Implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of electrical systems, often collaborating with other areas as required. Participate in major failure root cause investigations as deemed necessary. Tactics: Ensure electrical service strategies are developed to ensure capital and resource planning, and maintenance tactics libraries are maintained up to date.Condition Monitoring: Mandate the use of appropriate condition monitoring and predictive maintenance tools to drive reliability.Technology: Ensure best in class technology is deployed at operations. This includes ensuring that simulation tools such as ETAP are up to date and allows for accurate prediction of electrical systems.Projects: Work with SIB and Greenfield project teams to ensure alignment with specifications and norms and conduct design reviews where required.QualificationsAn undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours degree or equivalent) in B Eng Electrical.
Preferred:
A postgraduate qualification (Masters / Doctoral degree or equivalent) in a Electrical Engineering OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.
Technical Skills
Good understanding of NEC Standards , NFPA 70 and SANS Standards, Asset Management , Audit and assurance.Ability to:project manage small and large projects with a good understanding of discipline interfaces.Solve technical and operational issues in cooperation with relevant stakeholders.Plan, Lead, Organise and Control technical solution delivery using a matrix of internal and external providers and stakeholders.Manage, monitors and drives project activities.Proactively identifies, mitigate or escalate risks.Optimise performance levels of assets through actively monitoring their operation and creating solutions to encourage sustainable use inclusive conducting analysis, data mining and modelling.Additional InformationWho we are
