This role is central to driving our commitment to building a safer, smarter, and more sustainable future by leveraging automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics to improve Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD) outcomes. As a key member of our Digital Manufacturing team, you will work cross-functionally with manufacturing operations, engineering, IT, and safety teams to identify and implement enterprise solutions that modernize our factories and enhance our people and processes. The Solutions Principal will be responsible for defining the technological direction while aligning it to the overall business strategy. The focus is on technological advancement and execution while balancing capabilities that are scalable, sustainable, secure and adopt to industry best practices while aligning to organizational needs. **YOUR** **IMPACT** + Identify high-impact opportunities to deploy AI, automation, machine learning, robotics, digital twins, and IIoT across manufacturing operations and distribution centers. Design and implement solutions. + Design, deliver and pilot solutions that capture real-time shop floor data and use AI to deliver continuous insight improvements to quality, safety, productivity, and maintenance. + Scale existing solutions to top revenue factories such as predictive maintenance to prevent downtime, AI vision inspection to improve quality, and pick to light to improve accuracy and picking speed. + Assist with standardizing MES across all three business segments and piloting MES AI capabilities. + Expand location tracking for asset, material, parts, and work in progress. + Build integrated workflows between OT systems (PLC, SCADA, MES) and IT platforms (ERP, PLM, BI tools). + Lead cross-functional project teams from concept through full deployment including scope definition, vendor engagement, finance, integration, testing, and change management. + Provide technical support for solutions until productionized. + Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and hands-on problem solving. + Recognized as a strong technical and financial modeling architect within the organization. + Defines best practices standards and ensures adherence to them. + Optimize the technical application to business processes and expand to drive segment/function adoption. + Develops measurement criteria to evaluate programs and projects, reviews estimate on technical aspect of project. + Develops the value, financial, scope and risk criteria on projects while building consensus with cross segment OT/IT leaders. **MINIMUM** **QUALIFICATIONS** + Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related technical field with ten (10) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area. + Seven (7) years of experience in automotive or equipment manufacturing, with at least 3 years focused on digital transformation or smart manufacturing initiatives. + Proven success deploying AI, automation, or IoT technologies in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments. + Deep understanding of manufacturing operations including scheduling, fabrication, paint, assembly, shop floor machines, maintenance and processes. + Deep understanding of OT/IT architecture, MES, ERP, and factory automation systems. + Strong executive presence and highly influential. + Experience providing business and technical leadership/guidance without direct authority + Ability to travel up to 10%. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Certifications in Industry 4.0, data science, Python, Java Script, Jython. + Experience with platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, Ignition, Boomi, Highbyte or PTC ThingWorx. + Working knowledge of cloud services (Azure/AWS) and edge computing solutions. + Familiarity with standards like ISA-95, MQTT, OPC-UA. + Previous experience at a fortune 500 company. **Pay Range:** $117,000.00 - $202,400.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
