This OpportunityVersar Global Solutions is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill positions for Power Plant Shift Lead on Prince Sultan Air Base in Al Kharj, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of the Power Production Services and Engineering Design Assistance and Construction Management program. Your Impact The shift lead will have knowledge of: Principles of electronics and electricity including generation, conversion, transformation, distribution, and utilization; types, capacity, and purpose of low/medium voltage circuits, circuit breakers, switches, fuses, regulators, relays, instruments, and meters associated with electric generation and distribution; interpreting instrument and meter readings; wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings and technical publications; techniques of operating and maintaining internal combustion engines, generators, generating plants, distribution panels, and accessory equipment; use and purpose of test equipment; safety rules and practices; environmental policies; principles of management; and operation and repair of electrical power production systems. This discipline is responsible for continuous power production and supervision of power production technicians during their shift. This discipline attends meetings as required for projects or investigative/project development tasking.This discipline will be responsible for writing documents as needs are identified by the GovernmentThis discipline will follow all VGS standard policies and practices.Who You AreRequired Qualifications
Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.Must be able to speak, read and write English fluentlyMust maintain a valid driver’s license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment dateMust maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date. Passport must have a minimum of 6 blank pages prior to OCONUS mobilization. Must satisfy the pre-deployment medical requirements for CENTCOM prior to OCONUS mobilization and must be able to maintain a Medically Qualified (MQ) rating on an annual basis. Must be CAC eligible and able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Minimum 3 years’ experience Experience operating and maintaining generators up to 2.5 MW is preferredFormalized training in Power Generation or OEM training in Power Plant components preferredProactive nature and strong interpersonal skills in collaborating, communicating, and working with (1) Other senior managers and staff (to include Site management team), (2) Local and International subcontractors; (3) US Military representatives; and (4) Local officials as required.Duties may involve work outdoors with a potential exposure to desert climatic conditionsScheduled work hours up to 72 hours per weekMust currently possess, or be eligible for, a SECRET clearanceRole Characteristics
