**Primary Purpose**
**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**
The Principle Performance Assessment Specialist has leadership responsibility for company-wide implementation of the human performance, event-free performance and corrective action programs. These programs require line management and craft involvement. Principle Performance Assessment Specialists must oversee, support and facilitate event investigations which can involve Vice- Presidents, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, and Craft employees. Typically these investigations have high-level sponsorship and are intended to determine root or apparent causes and corrective actions to prevent or reduce the likelihood of recurrence, respectively. The Principle Performance Assessment Specialist also has leadership responsibility for identifying, understanding and communicating performance trends in various company Operations functional areas in order to share best practices or to arrest an adverse trend before an event occurs. The Principle Performance Assessment Specialist is expected to work collaboratively and proactively with line personnel and management, and to analyze data to identify trends, their causes and corresponding corrective actions. Communication of the trend analysis and corresponding corrective actions is typically accomplished through presentations to senior management. The Principle Performance Assessment Specialist works under the general supervision of the Performance Assessment Manager but has a leadership role within the Performance Assessment Group, which requires acting with limited directions and taking the initiative to improve human performance. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
**Primary Duties**
**PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
+ Support the line organizations in the conduct of Apparent Cause Evaluations and facilitate root cause investigations to ensure quality investigations are conducted. (35%)
+ Analyze data from a variety of sources, including but not limited to personnel interviews, trend data, event investigation data, staffing data, work management data, material condition data to identify adverse trends, their causes and corresponding corrective actions. (30%)
+ Mentor the Performance Assessment Coordinators in the day to day activities (15%)
+ Develop presentations and reports to communicate human performance information (15%)
+ Assure timely response to emergencies and provide 24 hour/day coverage for emergency response support. (5%)
**Job Scope**
**JOB SCOPE**
The Principle Performance Assessment Specialist utilizes analytical and interpersonal skills on a daily basis as he/she interfaces with various departments while executing multiple tasks targeted towards improving human performance. People in this role must demonstrate strong and credible "Subject Matter Expertise" to assist the company with its execution of the Human Performance, Event-Free performance and Corrective Action Programs. The Principle Performance Assessment Specialist also aggregates human performance information and prepares communications to be presented to the senior leaders. In addition, the Principle Performance Assessment Specialist is the mentor to the less experienced Performance Assessment Group members and fills a role in the Emergency Operations team.
**Minimum Qualifications**
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business, education or other related field. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, 9-12 years of relevant experience.
+ Requires a minimum of 7-10 years of problem-solving experience, preferably in an energy related functional area
+ Requires the ability to develop, and maintain effective working relationships with customers, peers, subordinates, and management.
+ Requires technical, analytical, and organizational skills along with strong demonstrated verbal and written skills.
+ Requires the existence of proficient computer skills in Windows based applications and all MS Office programs, with expertise in Excel.
+ Demonstrated leadership ability in working with large diverse teams.
+ Demonstrated coaching ability and effective interpersonal skills.
+ Demonstrated analytical skills, systematic thinking and proactive information gathering.
+ Demonstrated knowledge and experience in utilizing change management techniques.

+ Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $101,600.00/Yr. – $139,700.00/Yr.
