An exciting opportuniy has become available in the pricing space at Royal Mail. We’re seeking a strategic and colaborative Pricing Project Manager to co-ordinate the planning and execution of major price changes, ensuring all ratecard price points are accurately published and billed.
Responsible for an indirect budget of £500,000, the role will also support the implementation of new pricing systems that will form the foundation of our future commercial operations
About the role
In this position you'll
• Build and maintain high quality relationships with 30+ key pricing stakeholders across a dozen different departments, including at Director level
• Work with Directors to strategically plan ratecard changes and timelines months ahead of deployment.
• Lead ratecard price deployment over an intensive 9-month period
• Be responsible for ensuring all ratecard prices are acurately deployed into our multiple billing systems, and also to external suppliers.
• Co-ordinate the publication of thousands of ratecard price points to hundreds of thousands of customers via price guides and direct customer communications
• Controlls direct budget of c.£30k; and raising purchase orders and secure any required extraordinary budget from the Commercial Finance Director
• Drive a continuous improvement culture for Tariff, with Project Implementation Reviews to identify issues and building solutions into the Tariff process so that learning is captured for the future
• Support the planning and deployment of future pricing systems to deliver a step-change in the management and deployment of our pricing to drive significant commercial value
About You
• Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills, including negotiating and influencing at all levels including up to Directors.
• Ability to create coherent, large-scale project plans while dynamically adapting to changing circumstances
• Solid written communication
• The ability to influence without authority across a range of stakeholders, often where there are conflicting views and priorities
• Sound commercial judgement and perspective
• Experience of delivering large scale change through effective project management
• Project Management professional preferred - PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent
• Ideally educated to degree level
