Job DescriptionAs Pricing Manager, you will be part of the Strategic Pricing and Analytics team which is critical in supporting the success of the North America business. We are responsible for commercial pricing across our various sales channels, product suites and client segments, as well as managing process governance and pricing integrity. We are committed to Sales empowerment, commercial creativity, and exceptional decision making. We engage directly with Sales, Finance and Product Management to construct and negotiate competitive and creative pricing deals to win business that is beneficial to both clients and Experian.
Your responsibilities are extremely varied, with a typical day consisting of deal-level pricing design and approval, and project work on items such as developing benchmarking tools, conducting reviews of historical pricing and ad-hoc financial support for the Sales teams. You will report to the Sr. Director of Accelerated Commercial Enablement.
You will:
Collaborate with internal partners within Sales, Contracts, and Finance to create or approve deal-level pricing.Participate in internal pricing negotiations, deal structure, profitability models and sales effortsCreatively position pricing that maximizes revenues, protects AUPs, ensures future spend and builds market share.Manage and approve a queue of pricing requestsWork to develop pricing tools, such as benchmarking and historical analysis to assist the team in deal-level pricingCollaborate with Product Marketing for new product development, product pricing and product launch.Collaborate with internal partners within Sales, Contracts, and Finance to move pricing proposals from inception to negotiation to implementation.Structure and participate in pricing negotiations, deal structure, profitability models and sales efforts across multiple Experian lines of businesses.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field or equivalent practical experience5 years of relevant experience in finance, management consulting, corporate strategy, or similar pricing environmentPrior Pricing, Sales, Sales Operations, Finance or Product Marketing experienceExperience working with Oracle, Hyperion, Salesforce and Tableau as well as home grown applicationsThe ability to have difficult conversations with internal partners, and to defend your position with commercial rationalesBe comfortable with data, both regarding interpretation, as well as presentation to support pricing decisionsExcel skills (can perform complex functions) with experience in data manipulation and tool buildingCommercial decision making experienceExcellent knowledge of Experian's range of products and services across North AmericaUnderstanding of general technology terminology, services, and project lifecyclesThis is a hybrid role located in Franklin, TN.
