OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
This role will partner with stakeholders within the GPP and ICC organizations to bring together an understanding of the pharmaceutical value, pricing, and access landscape to ensure the delivery of strategic pricing capabilitiesThe role requires both oversight and delivery of project-related analytics, ensuring that projects are delivered to schedule while maintaining the highest level of quality and value expectationsThe role requires the adept utilization of data and tools (including internal pricing platforms) in leading and facilitating pricing analyses such as value-based pricing analyses, IRP, list price management, etcThe role requires demonstrated pricing experience and ability to collaborate and communicate with different stakeholders to drive delivery and collaboration within and across teamsBusiness continuity planning and delivery risk management will be key expectations of the role.The role involves functional leadership and people management.ACCOUNTABILITIES.
Lead the delivery of strategic pricing analytic support to GPP team decision-making through asset and above-asset analytics that deliver decision-enabling pricing insights such as:Identification of value differentiation and strategic pricing opportunities/scenarios that align with value-based pricing potential through an understanding of the competitive value (clinical/economic), pricing, reimbursement, and access landscapeMaximization of brand value through the identification of appropriate tradeoffs between price and access and in alignment with Takeda’s corporate pricing policy (through activities such as price benchmarking, analogue analysis, price trends analysis, relevant price forecasts, impact of competitive market events on access and price across global pharmaceutical markets, etc)Horizon scanning and landscape analyses to evaluate the impact of market events on value and price (evolution of payer policies, competitor launch, LoE, etc)Asset lifecycle management support through analytics that inform indication planning and LCM prioritization (development of pricing scenarios that consider target value profile, competitive landscape, asset pricing and reimbursement potential)Where necessary lead other pricing activities such as:Facilitate timely input, and validation of key assumptions to run a launch planning analysis: price listing and introduction timelines, expected price and expected unit salesRun IRP analysis to estimate the cross-country IRP risk and share analysis with relevant stakeholders, closely aligning on request and expected IRP impact and follow up with initiating and impacted countries to validate expected price changes where requiredFacilitate price change request through according to the pricing governance processSupport standard pricing processes such as running pricing models, presenting pricing cases, pricing certificates etcOther key accountabilities include:Work effectively across functions and geographies with a focus on customer needs to achieve goals and ensure stakeholder alignmentTake a leading role towards supporting the ICC GPP delivery team’s strategic pricing capabilities and embed GPP pricing excellenceBe actively involved in ensuring continuity of business processes alongside development and furthering of the team’s functional capabilitiesHelp mentor and develop young talent in the teamEDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Essential
Relevant graduate or post graduate degree in science, economics, or pharmacy (MPharm/BPharm, MBBS/MD, PhD, MBA, etc)At least 8-10 years of pharmaceutical pricing and/or market access experience acquired at leading industry companies or relevant consultancy companiesUnderstand pricing and access activities needed at key drug development and commercialization milestones including commercial/business understanding of the biopharma industry to be able to deliver integrated pricing insightsStrategic mindset, critical thinker and problem solver with excellent analytical skills and ability to draw insights/derive implications from the analytical researchStrong process/project management skills with demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills (people/processes/projects) with a solution-orientation and the ability to effectively lead cross-functional project teamsA strong process-oriented mindset with the ability to build and support strong and sustainable delivery processesExcellent communication and team collaborationComfortable with ambiguity and experience of working in multi-matriced organizationsGrowth/continuous learning mindset with effective coaching and mentoring skillsSelf-driven and results-oriented with the motivation to make an impactProficiency in word, excel, powerpoint, analytical tools, basic VBA knowledge & working knowledge of Power BIWhat Takeda Can Offer You
