Position Summary 

 

The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing pricing data and developing forecasts and models. Based

on the industry trends, the Pricing Analyst will determine pricing and marketing strategies.

 

Responsibilities  Assesses data from a variety of sources and uses it to derive insights into pricing strategies and market trendsUtilizes a number of quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze competitor pricing, assess market share and margins, and track customer engagementForecast revenue and market share information by using a variety of statistical modeling methodsPrepares reports that show the potential impact of various pricing strategies, including their effect on margins and costs and how they will impact profitability and sales volumeActively monitors industry trends, develops strategies that take advantage of untapped market segments and helps the company gain market share in new avenuesImplements dynamic and competitive pricing that allows the company to quickly adjust prices to enhance sales volume and conversion ratesMay be responsible for analyzing data related to return on investment (ROI) for existing marketing and promotional programs, analyze customer response to marketing effortsPrepares both written reports and visual presentations to share findings to key decision-makersStay up to date on industry best practices in pricing and identify opportunities for process improvement Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years related pricing or analysis experiencePrevious work within an e-commerce environment or a related industry (e.g., industrial goods, B2B sales).

Ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies and techniques to drive sales and enhance

marketing efforts

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel. Power BI is a strong plus (but not

required)

Ability to multi-task and prioritize work with minimal supervision

Critical attention to detail

Strong analytical skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Self-motivated, team-oriented and collaborative

Experience with e-commerce platforms and pricing tools

Understanding of pricing principles, margin analysis, and cost accounting
