Pricing Analyst

About the role

 

As a pricing analyst Industry, you develop competitive and accurate price proposals for the sales team using pricing models, market intelligence, and additional input from relevant stakeholders. In close collaboration with the commercial teams, you support landing the right deals both for open- as closed book customers. You actively manage the contract portfolio and drive profitability in daily operations for FM Sales as the primary stakeholder.

 

 

Key responsibilities include

 

Being the number one partner for sales, collaborating closely with the sales team to drive margin growth Acting as a direct point of contact for the customer for any pricing or contract inquiries, concerns and feedback Creating competitive price proposals for the sales team, analyzing historic price and margin levels to drive profitable growth for your business unit. Actively participating in customer tenders together with the commercial team Presenting proposals to sales, utilizing market and internal data to validate and justify proposals Utilizing open book pricing models, including commodity market coverage, cost & margin analysis and proactive data management Finding opportunities to simplify open book models. Making sure the calculation mechanism is as efficient as possible without room for error Supporting and challenging partnership creation/renewal and making sure all pricing principles are executed accordingly Booking sales contracts upon agreement from customers to lock in business Taking pricing ownership of assigned accounts in an independent and proactive way Proactively managing the contracts for your account portfolio in collaboration with sales Developing and managing effective and analytic reporting tools to support the business unit and the organization’s needs Understanding the commodity market fundamentals and gathering in-depth knowledge on the chocolate manufacturing process in order to improve the pricing process Actively engaging with pricing driven projects and participating in projects impacting the team

 

About you

 

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics Fluent in English, both written and verbal

 

At least 5 years of experience in a Finance or Pricing function Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail Strong ability to cut through complexity and summarize core facts in escalations to MD’s/VP’s Enthusiastic team member with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing business demands and priorities Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with various levels of management Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (lookup, index-match, pivot tables, etc.) Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus

 

Customer-oriented and with a “hands-on” mentality Great attention to detail Can work independently – comfortable to set priorities proactively Strategic and conceptual thinker. But also operationally strong to tackle the daily reality of a commercial environment Comfortable to take a position and defend to senior commercial profiles.
