Many of our top mechanics started in this very role! 🔧 **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform preventative maintenance on garbage trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment + Use fleet maintenance software to manage service records + Conduct safety inspections and maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant shop + Collaborate with drivers to identify and resolve vehicle issues + Complete repairs based on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) ✅ **Qualifications:** + Experience in commercial vehicle or diesel maintenance preferred (not required) + Valid driver’s license + Basic tool set and toolbox + Basic computer skills and ability to use diagnostic tools + Positive attitude and willingness to learn **Safety-Sensitive Role** This position is classified as **safety-sensitive** , which means it involves duties where impaired performance could pose a significant risk to the safety of the employee or others.
